Hi All,

Just installed vmix 22 and none of my webcams are working properly.
the inputs are jittery and flicker a little. system is loafing along.

reinstalled vmix 21.58 and all is well. Webcams work fine with other apps too.

my system: acer aspire V 15 Nitro

OS: windows 10 home latest updates
Video card: Nvidia 945m
CPU: I7 6500U
RAM: 8 gigs ddr4
webcams: c920, c930e and builtin cam

Have not tried my gh4, gh5 and AF100 yet

Thanks !

Rod

Have no such issues here. Just ran through an extensive test with various webcams, including:

  • Logitech C920
  • Logitech C922
  • Logitech C930e
  • Logitech Brio 4K
  • Logitech BCC950 PTZ
  • Logitech Rally PTZ

Was documenting issues with NDI Scan Convertor and NDI Connect Free for a Newtek support ticket.

There have been no updates to the camera input functionality at all since .58.
Only thing I can think of is maybe since the virus scanner or windows defender was scanning the update for a while
causing the system to reduce in performance temporarily.

Or possibly the setting was disabled to use the NVIDIA graphics in vMix, so check that again in the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Regards,

Martin

Thank you Martin.

I believe I have check those things but will take another look.
The topic of my post was wrong....it should have said all is working fine with version 21.53 (the last update to version 21).
I have been a user since version 17 and have never had a single problem.

Try adding the webcams at a lower resolution (such as 640x480 or 1280x720). If they are jittery it is likely
they are being used at a higher resolution in vMix now which may be consuming all the available USB bandwidth.
