+1 for a remove input option like BETech suggests. The current close button is really on a dangerous place.

+1
There absolutely needs to be a confirmation before an input is closed. It has always caused issues on productions specially when the user isn't skilled.

+1 for removal of close button. My opinion is that right click menu on input should have remove option.

The lock button stops one from accidentally (or intentionally for that matter) closing out an input.
Located in the lower right near the hamburger menu and Overlay settings

Located in the lower right near the hamburger menu and Overlay settings True. But still the Close button user interface needs to be fixed, based on the real life experiences reported in this feature request.

It looks like this has been added in vMix22. You can find it in the "Settings" / "Options" / "Display confirmation for Input Close button" checkbox. When you close an input you will get a red banner requesting Yes/No confirmation.
