Hi,

Could you open the Documents folder on your computer and look for the vMixStorage folder.
In that folder find the most recent log files (20130313.log or 20130314.log) and email them to info@vmix.com.au

Thanks,

Martin

Thanks for the log.

Looks like an issue with the Intel HD 4000 and Windows 8.
Try the fix below and see if the issue is resolved:

1. Go to Control Panel
2. Go to System and Security then Power Options
3. On the left hand column click "Choose what the power buttons do"
4. Click "Change Settings that are currently unavailable" at the top (next to the shield icon)
5. Untick "Turn on Fast Start-up" and click OK.

Once completed turn off the laptop and then turn it back on again.

Regards,

Martin

OK, I'll try and test
This particular system has Intel HD Graphics 4000 2Gb with Dell driver 9.17.10.2867, A03
Is this Dell / driver related problem and should be reported to them as bug?

Unfortunately the problem remains after changes you suggested.
It crashes in 15-20th minute...:

Try installing GPU-Z below:

http://www.techpowerup.c...owerUp_GPU-Z_v0.6.8.html

Keep this running when vMix is running and keep an eye on the memory usage in the Sensors tab, especially when the output stops working.
Something somewhere must be slowly using up your graphics card memory.

How many inputs are you using and what types?

Martin

As an update, if running the latest updates does not help, try making sure the Power Profile
in the Control Panel is set to "High Performance".

This prevents device errors when using Windows 8 and Intel HD 4000 on a laptop.

Further investigation has revealed a bug in the latest version of the Intel HD 4000 driver.
There are some pre-release drivers available for download below that should solve the problem:

http://forums.laptopvide...ntel-gma-drivers/page-18

Note, these are unofficial drivers and have not yet been endorsed by Intel. They are expected to release them before June.

Martin
