                @ stevespaw
I can confirm that your SHQ.AVI clip works fine in vMix. (provided you notify vMix with the tic box that the video has alpha channel when Inputting!)

BTW, cool 3D chrome text effect...

OK so I tested with AE 1. AVI - Must Select the DCT option for alpha! the regular 4.2.2.4 did not have alpha in vMix AVI2. Same comp render with Quicktime and same NewTek codec setting. will not import into vMix. MOVSo I think it is the fact of using FFMPEG as the quicktime player or something. ??? My guess. Steve Using AVI w/ DCT worked out for me, thanks!

How about a straight up MP4 that seams to work great in vmix with h264 codec and low CPU,I would love to see the h265 codec soon I've seen it before and is nice

Can anyone recommend a free tool to encode ProRes or Animation codecs to SpeedHQ with alpha? EDIT: received this back from newtek support I'm following up on your support inquiry. Unfortunately, Adobe dropped support of SpeedHQ (well, QuickTime 32 bit, but that impacts SpeedHQ). That means that using the older version of Quicktime is the right way to go. If that helps, the alpha channels do need to be "straight" and not pre-multiplied. You can do QuickTime Pro res 4:4:4:4 alpha and 4:2:2:4 alpha. Saying that, there are some unofficial interesting facts: Adobe provides a special EXE on request, that allows the installation of 2018 versions of its software. Take a look here: https://community.adobe..../11582836/highlight/trueAnd that thread is extremely interesting, even though not tested by us: https://www.ffastrans.co...rum/viewtopic.php?t=1196I hope that helps.
