                Now that we have so many multi-view layers, it would be useful to be able to blur inputs and layers to create the illusion of depth with each layer. This would work similarly to the sharpen function on each input, but perhaps might have adjustable settings for the blur level

 I use this using an upstream mixer that has defocus. One trick is to
 defocus the wide shot and add a graphic for an opener and closer.
 Then mixing between the comp and the camera effectively pulls focus
 and loses the super. It's also a dynamic background for boxes.
 
 You can defocus realtimne using Resolve in live mode but it ties up
 sdi resources.
 
 Slightly blurring a chroma key background adds a shallow DOF filmic look and dimension. Lots of creative uses.
