Hello,

I can use Virtual Sets maded with Adobe After Effects?

I have virtual sets like this: http://designrshub.com/2012/10/breaking-news-20-best-after-effects-news-templates.html

I want to make a TV Network and i want to know if this is possible in vMix.

Thank You

hi,

at the moment importing after effects sequences is not supported by vmix. you can use an exported .mov sequence (with alpha channel) from after effects and use it as an overlay input in vmix... this might be works.

The link is not to virtual sets but instead to bumpers and other graphics which I have used many times to create content for events and shows.
Just need to export in the proper file type such as .mov or .wmv or .avi

Hello Folks,

Where precisely can one get number of good virtual sets that works perfectly with vMix which can give a same quality as that of BBC or any other BIG mainstream Station Studio...?

Your contribution and help is highly needed.

Rottimmy

From what i understand, the virtualsets are plain 2D image compositions, that can be moved and zoomed, while "real" virtual studios use 3d scenes - so while vMix does a really great job in 2D, you'll not never achieve the same "look" found in pro setups. Maybe some time vMix might actually render 3d scenes (the technique isn't that different from what it's already capable of)...

Hi Macjaeger,

I guess with good lighting and positioning, the quality can be achieved, be it 2D or 3D...

Where and how to get a Virtual Set is the question.

Just wanna see how to showcase this wonderful software as a piece of art to recon with.

Lets do it

In 3d sets the virtual camera can move in between the props, e.g. to let you see the side of a conference table when the camera closes in on the talent; this provides the extra look & feel of a real world studio, whereas a 2d set can't achieve the same look. Other than that, vMix can achieve quite nice compositions.
