Hi!
I have a long event I will be producing with vMix, and I will need the footage for later to edit and send out.
I know that I can record the individual tracks if I like with the multiple recording options. But can I record to more than one drive the main program? Or can I record the main program in two different formats?
What I'd like to be able to do is record to SD and HD at the same time. I know that for most, SD is no longer useful, but for our client it is. I don't want to have to convert the HD down to SD.
I do have the ability to record out to SD on one of the output channels on a separate device. However, I want redundancy should a drive fail.
Thoughts?

We use Atomos Ninja / Samurai Blades for redundancy, save locally with vMix and out to Atomos. Lets us not further tax the system, and get a clean copy of our program out.
I'd say add redundancy to your HD cut, and use that HD to encode down for SD.

Or is you can get on a network with a second machine running vMix, the first machine can send an NDI output of the program to the second machine which can then record, or stream it.

Or simply use EXTERNAL out on the same host to feed FFMPEG, VLC or OBS with vMix out to do a 2nd recording.
