May I request the option of naming a recording (startrecording) with a shortcut similar to using the snapshot shortcut making it possible to name them on the fly with api calls etc We have the naming date available when needed for this

@richardgatarski
is similar to your second point.
one could argue to change the name during or after the recording has finished per a script but that's problematic at times depending on the format one is saving to
As i have the data ready to be used in the filename for the hundreds of short individual recordings at a time using an external to rename through the API would be very very helpfull as a sequential numbering or alike isn't usefull to me for referencing quickly (could be like individual athletes)

Bump also requested here Quote:Add the parameter "File name" to Shortcut StartRecording If not per shortcut per se maybe at least through the HTTP protocol Renaming hundreds up to over a thousand short clips saved after compared to using the available data during one event to save with in our case ..... Appreciate the consideration

+1, weird enough after all these years there is still not a structural fix for this. Let's hope this +1 can make the difference.

Well i didn't wait for it for 7 years ;-) The solutions have been available by the addition of vMix scripting (before htat it was solved using external scripting) ;-) using a Script makes it even more flexible ;-) The solution principle has been posted in the forum somewhere : lookup last recording and rename it to your liking ;-)
