Tried vMixCall with 2 windows 10 tablets and chrome.
The 1st tablet has only a front camera so it works perfectly The 2nd one won't let me choose the front cam either
Note: not a surprise, but service has a huge impact on battery and CPU
EDIT: Win10 tablets with 2 cams work fine when you refresh page after selecting new webcam

I experienced vMix 19 vMix Call last night myself! It's great! Was easy to make the connection, however I did have an issue.
vMix to vMix worked great! Chrome to vMix worked great, but when I used Firefox to vMix, the Text chat from Firefox would not send back to the host. The Enter key simply did a next line in the chat entry window, and would not send text back to the host.
I did not try IE or Edge, and I don't recall if you spoke about them or not. Honestly though, Those are not my preference anyhow.
Is there a setting in Firefox I'm overlooking to send text back to the host?

The Firefox chat bug has now been fixed.
I would also like to add the Opera browser to the list of supported browsers for vMix Call. It seems to work well on Android devices as well and will prompt for Front/Back camera when logging in.

VmixCall can be perfectly used for external commentators in sports events!
Some little features should be added: - possibility to switch off the return video from the commentator to Vmix to save bandwith - communication between the director and the commentators.
Thanks you Martin

Hi Martin Quote:- possibility to switch off the return video from the commentator to Vmix to save bandwith commentators can send audio only by pressing the on/off cam button Quote:communication between the director and the commentators. you can use bus A and B for allowing the director to talk to your commentators. Len56 wrote:Any chance you could add support for Apple Safari browser? then people could use there macs and iPads. Martin is not in control of the development of Apple Safari.. :-) vMix Call relies on the technology of WebRTC (as I know), and Apple Safari does not support this technology yet. So you can just hope that the next version of Apple Safari supports WebRTC, so it can be used with vMix Call.

Once again I am blown away by vMix (and the team behind). Congrats! It will for sure be the talk of NAB :)
Have only had time to do a quick check, will play a lot and reflect. Meanwhile, a couple of small remarks/issues.
It works perfectly fine to create a new Preset, add a Video Call Input, set it up to Host a call, note the "password" (I prefer the term "key", and save the Preset. Then that Input can be appended to other presets in order to preserve the password (nka "key ;).
In Connect to Call vMix asks first for password, then name. At vmixcall.com it's the other way around. Room for errors ;)
If the "main production" has to be restarted, using the same Call Password, then remote participants (eg a Connect to Call) has to disconnect (close input), and add it again. Would be nice if that was automatically reconnected.
THANKS!

Would be nice if that was automatically reconnected. Hi Richard Martin will certainly explain it, but this service is WebRTC, which means it is basically managed like a website session. My guess is that keys are created and remain active as long as vMix is opened and they expire after a defined timeout. Maybe a solution would be copy and paste the same keys each time? I guess keys are specific to vMix instances

There's a due diligence component to this. There are a lot of WebRTC platform-as-a-service offers out there. I'd like to know a little more about vmixcall.com. Is that something hosted by vMix (or parent co) or someone else's infrastructure?
Does it lean on STUN or TURN services for NAT traversal?
Most WebRTC services are encrypted. Is that true for a vmixcall as well? Is the video VP8 or H264?
Transparently handling the audio mix-minus issues is a huge accomplishment. That's been a problem for everyone in the past.

Is the a design criteria that a caller be kicked off by someone else who has the password? I noticed that happened on your show. I have a client that would like to give the password out so that people could call in and ask questions on a live show. If their was a message stating that the password (or call in number as I would call it) were busy (or if their was a cue setup) then the current person would not be kicked off and the next caller could be notified when the "line" was open. In any case thanks for a GREAT new feature.

The keys are only active whilst the host session is active. That is if you close the input you close the session. Found this out by accidently closing the input.

On Android phones it seems that vMixCall on Chrome will send audio but on some devices will not activate the camera. (HTC One for example.) If however you use Firefox on the same device all is good.

Playing on a system with only Integrated Graphics today the outgoing video was perfect but the incoming video was constantly unstable, flashing on and off. I am not certain wether it was network issues that were at fault, so tomorrow I will connect to a different network with more bandwidth to rule that out. In the meantime can someone run some tests with just the onboard graphics, not a Nvidia or AMD setup and report back. Thanks

Had you already done this update to 19.0.0.28?

corporatejames wrote:IceStream wrote:Similar issue to corporatejames. No Camera choice on ASUS Android ZenPhone Chrome (just the selfie cam) and the image is very dark despite the settings set to auto iris (camera seems to work fine outside of vMixCall). I realize this may be more of a phone, Chrome and/or Android compatibility issue, but I thought I should mention it in case there is some way of accessing more features of the Camera within Chrome.
Ice Yeah my front camera was very dark in Google Chrome. I can also confirm the very dark camera using Chrome browser from both phones Galaxy S7 and S7 edge (with original browser version). Then updated to "Chrome Beta" from Playstore but no changes at all. Tried different camera settings but without success. Camera picture looks good in browser window but it arrives very very dark in vMix. Regards Karsten
