I had the same audio recording issue occur with V8 during our last broadcast. I recorded hour one with no issues. After a 30 minute break I did a test to see if everything was OK and had bad audio.

Here is the link for the files that were created.

http://famous-pictures.c...ber_2012-09-30-41_PM.zip

I have included the .wmv file with the bad audio, the log file created with it as well as the log file for the first hour that was was fine.

Hope you will be able to sort this out. I did check to make sure the audio setting for the wmv record was Vmix audio.

Thanks for the video and log file.
This should give me enough information to solve this for the final vMix 8 release.

Famous Pictures,

I think I have narrowed down the cause, but I was wondering if you ever set the audio delay in Recording Setup when using WMV and if so what value do you usually set it to?

I do not use audio delay. Always set to 0.

Hi

Can you allow negative value for audio delay?

Hi Martin,

When I add a youtube video via FLASH/RTMP and start it, I hear the audio (and see the video). However I can't arrange the audio in VMix (nothing on the master output). Also switching on/off the audio on the input has no effect.

But (according to windows 7 audio mixer) the sound comes from VMix.

Is it a bug or how does it work?

Regards, Hanno.

Hi Hanno,

That is unfortunately the limitation of playing youtube directly through vMix.
You are much better of downloading the video using the many youtube downloaders available and playing it directly, then you will have full audio control.

Martin

Hi Martin,

Ok, clear. I can live with it. I was just curious why it didn't work as I expected.

Also thanks for fixing the issue with the reset of a flash input i.c.w. keeping the overlay.

Regards, Hanno.

Hi Martin,

An audio delay button on the microphone or (line in) input is highly needed.
We are mixing most of our audio externally and feeding it to the audio card input, and a delay function is essential.
Your feedback is appreciated.

Ali
