Have you tried the vMixScheduler?
It was developed a few years ago by macjaeger, only 'alpha' version released but it works rather well:

If the playlist events were triggered by the PC clock this would be possible.
Our network time is locked together.

The midi beat clock or midi timecode would be another way to sync Vmix to external events
via the playlist.
