HI ! MXF recording on vMix 15 ! Material eXchange Format (MXF) is a container format for professional digital video and audio media defined by a set of SMPTE standards. can it be done ? multi audio channels on multicorder camera+vmix audio for example. http://en.wikipedia.org/...Material_Exchange_FormatBest regards, PFBM

+1 - we recently installed vMix in our broadcast station and used a lot of it`s features on a national broadcast, worked like a charm! It would be hugely appreciated if MXF-recording could be implemented, as our storage and workflow uses MXF. Don`t remember what codec we use within mxf. But can check and report back. PFBM wrote:HI ! +0,5 (interested, but no immediate demand)
I am under the impression that many European broadcasters work with MXF containers. One of our customer's require for HD:
MXF OP1a XDCAMHD with 8 channel audio. All media are to be delivered as High definition 1920x1080 50i interlaced video compressed with MPEG2 4:2:2 compression at 50 Mbps (4:2:2Profile@ HighLevel), and 8 channels of uncompressed 24 bit audio at 48kHz.
Most likely our recordings require some basic editing before delivery. For example cutting off leading and trailing material before the actual program. I guess this can be done in video editors that support "smart rendering", and thus reduce the rendering time.
