What is the scenario you have in mind? Who is your stream destination?

In our project the destination is a 4K cinema venue and we should be able to control the internet connection at both ends.

The Key, al least in my scenario, was adequate Bandwidth and/Encode/Decode process. Maxi

But only at 3 megabit :) I'm sure you can also stream 4K at 3 or 4 megabit, but i'd rather stream 1080 10 mbit then :)

If you have control of your internet connection at both ends, I suggest using the "-preset" option with a value like "superfast". I *think* the HEVC encoder (libx265) supports that. I've used it in libx264 with success to lower CPU usage at the expense of compression efficiency.
