I have two inputs that I always use for a starting lineup graphic. For each new game I delete the old graphics (inputs) and add the new grpahics (inputs) in the same place that the old ones were located. FWIW Away Team is always input 30 and the Home Team is always input 31.
WhenI look at the shortcuts, they always are correct and work pefectly after the inputs are updated. However, the activators do not. When I look at the activators after the inputs are updated, they have the correct input number (30 or 31) but they do not have the name. They just say "30" or "31." Therefore the activator doesn't work properly until I re-select the input from the dropdown list.
It's a minor thing and I know how to quickly correct it but it feels like inconsistent bahaviour. If the shortcut works and always has the correct input after the inputs have been updated, then the activator should as well.

This doesn't address the issue directly, but rather this is a slightly different workflow that I use, that you might find helpful.
For myself, when I want to update a graphic that I have shortcuts and activators setup for, instead of your method, what I do is I go to the input in question (for example, input 30 in your case), hit the gear icon, then hit the "change" button at the top right, and just point it to the new graphic. Then I know for a fact I don't have to worry about shortcuts or activators getting out of whack. And for good measure, vmix automatically updates the name of the input to match the new graphic filename.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I am familalir with that as well. The reason that suggestion doesn't work for me is because of the nature of what I am swapping out (which wasn't clear int he original post). I am swapping out a title that has a different team lineup. so if I just do a CHANGE as you suggest, all the text/fillable content stays the same due to the nature of the title graphic. The only way to completely change the title graphic is to delete the input and re-add the new one that has the correct team information such as coahc name, players, team graphic, etc. Hope this all makes sense.

There is an option to "Assign Activator to Input Number" in the activator settings. Have you checked it? Works for me when checked.
(And, it is also possible to work with title presets (or data sources) to make things easier. :)

I have not tried that but I will. It just seems inconsistent since I don't have to check that box on the shortcut options.
