Hello Team,

I’d like to suggest a simple but valuable feature: a built-in audio limiter for the master output. The goal is to prevent clipping or distortion during streaming or recording. Nothing overly complex—just a checkbox option that enables vMix to automatically protect the master audio from peaking beyond safe levels.

This would be a great addition for users who need reliable, clean audio without extra setup or third-party tools.

Thank you for your continued innovation and support.

Best regards,
Carlos in Texas

Yes, it's not a bad idea. VST is possible but limiter is same important as compressor or noise gate which are implemented natively.

The chain in vMix puts VSTs before pretty much everything.

A limiter, for obvious reasons, should be the last thing in the chain, not among the first.

This is why I recommend leaving pretty much everything built-in untouched and only using VSTs, so you can build your own chain and put a limiter at the end of it.

Otherwise, using the built-in compressor or gain/AGC control will render a VST limiter useless.
