Uninstall the LAV filters or if you need them install the latest versions from their web site.
I would actually recommend uninstalling them as they seem to be quite buggy at the moment.

Hello, I am testing the v13 and I've found what I think is a bug, I inserted two videos, one format .mpg and another .mp4, which is in .mp4 plays smoothly and sounds good but which is in .mpg is not displayed, the screen goes black but the audio is heard.

I have also inserted a video in .wmv format, and see and hear perfectly.

At the moment I have not found any more bugs.

Regards, Toni.

PS: The .mpg videos plays well on v12 of vMix.

Edit: I just did the same tests on the 32-bit version and I have no problem, plays all video formats.

Regards, Toni.

Hi to all again, I still have the same errors in video playback in 64bit version, however, still works in the 32bit vesion. I have re-tested the same videos in v12 of vMix both 64 and 32 bits and I have no trouble playing the same videos.

Regards!

For any video playback issues please go to Input Properties -> Advanced and see what video codec is being used.
There are a few buggy codecs out there that will no longer work in vMix. Uninstalling this so the defaults are used is recommended.

Turns out my install issue wasn't browser related after all...
http://forums.vmix.com.a...p;t=2049&find=unread

I have Avermedia video capture cared, and the RECentral hadn't released the file. I fresh reboot was done prior to the previous install, and RECentral had not yet been run, or used.

Under the advanced tab select the line with the filename and click properties.
It should say it is Haali Media Splitter, if not, let me know what it says.

Also if you could open the MP4 file in MediaInfo and post here the text information available there.

Thanks,

You were right, I chose another codec and it works perfectly, but if you select "Auto" should not choose the codec that works? is strange, cause in vMix 12 works fine, but if it works...

Ok, I think I might have found the problem.

pasingshot, doggy, please try the 13.0.0.118 update and let me know if it helps:

http://www.vmix.com.au/download/vmix13preview.exe

When testing, double check to confirm 118 has installed in case the browser cached the old 117 one.

I retested and if I select the decoder to "Auto" the video is in black, as usual, but now the audio works. If I select another decoder the video and audio runs smoothly

When set to Auto go to Input Properties and check under the Advanced tab to see what codec is being used.

When I choose "Auto" says:
"Audio Renderer"
"Video Mixing Renderer 9"
"Audio Procesor"
"MPEG Video Decoder"
"MPEG Audio Decoder"
"MPEG-I Stream Splitter"
And the video's path.

When I choose the codec says:
All the same that above but in MPEG Video Decoder says Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder (That is my selection).

All this is in 64Bits option, in 32 I don't have this problem, I have selected in Auto.

Thanks!

Sorry Martin but it seems I was happy to soon

As initilly it seems to be solved it depends a lot on where one moves to in relation to the timeline.
The further one goe in the timeline (say a 10-15 minute clip) the worse it gets till a point were it doesnt seem to catch up at all and completely freezes.
Moving back towards beginning timeline one gets it back to work while it seems to have a hard time syncing when moving agian . What I did noties is although the vidoe is playing the sound isnt , when the sounds finally starts to play the video itself freezes until it seems to be able to catch up agian and both work together again .
the complete freeze seems to be past halway the midpoint of the timeline
Hope it mkes sence inhow I try to explain this

EDIT: Seems the issue has to do with mp4 recordings made with vMix !!!

One issue I found when vMix is locked, the trigger to stop the recording doesn't work.

Something else I found with Desktop Capture. When I play a video (with MediaPlayer) and use Desktop Capture to get it into vMix and record the video the left and right audio channel are turned 180°.

Hi Martin. Am running some tests on v13. Very impressed with the stability do far. One issue that has surfaced on my test laptop (Dell Latitude ES5420, i7, 8mb RAM SSD dive), also on an older Duo Core machine, is that there are a lot of clicks and pops on the audio tracks from and of the sound sources. I had noticed the same on the Duo Core machine previously but had assumed it was a USB bus issue. However, I get the same behavior a webcam mike (USB); the internal mike; or recorded content. Playing the recorded content in Media player audio is fine. Testing directly to the Skype call testing service audio is fine. Testing using the MS Sound recorder audio is also fine. The logs do not show any drops or errors. Any thoughts?

If you create a recording of these sources, does it sound the same there?
If possible, provide a screenshot of the statistics window, the audio column should show if audio is being dropped.
