Very often I use the fullscreen 2 or the external output to manage a ledwall or a video projector. This allows me to manage on-screen content other than what I stream or record.

Currently I do it without any problem, but I am always forced to use a "cut". It would be very nice to be able to use a fade as well, but it seems that the software does not allow this.

Could you be interested in implementing it?

Maybe change the Alpha of an input used over time (script) to 0
Using a Mix input can also be usefull

There is a method for this. Use the Mix Input and set that as Fullscreen2 source. Now you can use fade as a transition. If you want to read some more about the Mix input, look here: https://www.vmix.com/help25/Mix.html

I use this in similar use case as you describe. I made a shortcut to my Stream Deck so that i can select what goes to the mix2 preview, and one button to use the fade transition in Mix2

Hope that helps!
