All I want to make animated titles for VMix - I know how to use AE which would be ok over NDI for most lower thirds but social media with photos included from Twitter is an important one we want to have.

Does anyone have any guides - explanations?

Thanks

Jonny

Expression Blend is certainly the tool you need to check.

Step 1:

test vMix social and its available social titles and the Title mapping options in relation to the code of those titles and the social data

Step 2:

Check the examples ( and code) of the animated titles already present in vMix.
Also do a search in this forum as there are various post in regards to animated titles

Step 3:

Design a combination of both of the above to your specifications or wishes (animation and photos from twitter is a bit vague)
As Dwam said Expression Blend is certainly the tool you can use for designing or code manually ( need to learn some xaml regardless)

Use Expression Blend to create a title you need.
Make a simple animation, it's not hard.
Tnen start vMix, add your title. Start vMix Social, and connect and map your title.
That's all )

What version of Blend? I have Visual Studio 2017 with Blend installed but I have no idea where to start - does anyone have a tutorial?

For now I have made the titles I want with a combination of blank titles with just fields and also png sequences for the animation and used triggers to start them but I want to make real overlays/titles using blend.

Thanks

Hi Jonny

Here's a video tutorial based on an older version but it might help anyway

maybe here

There shouldn't be a problem using more recent versions of Blend. while i use a lot Blend for visual studio 2015
I sometimes use Blend 4 as that on can import illustrator and ps files

edit PS (see vMix help files)
All controls must be compatible with .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (4.0 is not supported at this time)

I tried that download and it is a patch on the software so need to have the software first.

I have made a lot of PNG sequences so want I want to be able to do is overlay them in as a title and then overlay them out I have done it manually with trigger sbut feels clunky and seems risky.
