I have several Amcrest (HD 1080) PTZ IP cameras (price point $100) that are ONVIF compatible. PTC Optics has a product that will control these - PTZOptics IP Joystick Controller with ONVIF Protocol for All PTZ Security Cameras. I have installed PTZoptics cameras (20X) and was able to get the the PTZ on a vMix Input to work with both the IP and direct Camera connection config on the camera. It would be great to be able do that with the Amcrest or any other ONVIF camera. I have tested it on the 3 cameras you have listed but it doesn't work.

                From the help files:
Selecting the PTZ camera Device Type
Select the device type that matches your camera from the Device Type dropdown box. vMix currently supports the following types of PTZ cameras:
PTZ Optics cameras and and other cameras that support the VISCA over UDP protocol such as ValueHD. Panasonic PTZ cameras that support CGI control over Ethernet including the AW-HE40, 50, 60, 65, 70, 120 and 130 series Sony PTZ cameras that support CGI control other Ethernet including the SRG-300 series.
It is important to note that for simplicity and ease of use, only PTZ cameras that support network control are supported. Cameras that only have serial control such as via the VISCA or Pelco RS-422 or RS-232 protocols are not currently supported.

Thank you for the reply. I was hoping ONVIF could be added as a possible addition to the PTZ list of available cameras.

I now support a church that is using Vmix with 4 Flir IP PTZ security cams and Onvif control would really be helpful in controlling the PTZ function inside of Vmix.

+1 I recently learned that the Axis v5914 and v5915 (and perhaps other cameras from this brand) can be enabled for ONVIF. As I, and many other users, have requested PTZ control in vMix for these cameras, ONVIF support could be the solution

                Hi,
Unfortunately there are no plans to add ONVIF support, as our tests on a number of these cameras have concluded that most manufacturers only provide a very limited subset of PTZ control support via ONVIF which is not enough to work with vMix.
  Regards,
  Martin vMix

That's too bad. I was hoping even for simple pan and tilt function, or anything. The protocol seems popular enough that I'm surprised there isn't something that could be done. Thank you for considering though.

We use Axis PTZ HD Cameras and hoping vMix will add PTZ support internally.

Onvif support would be much appreciated. We own several older Bosch IP camera's with ONVIF protocol. C'mon VMIX, let's do this!
