Working with my Novation Launchpad MK2 last night, and ran into a bit of confusion. I made the assumption (Mistake) that the OverlayInput1 shortcut was a toggle, but it appears to be momentary. When I press the assigned button and hold, it enables the overlay, and when released, it disables it. I would like to see an option for toggle so when I hit the button, it enables, and lights the activator, and it remains on until you hit the button again to disable it, and return to the buttons default activator.

@ madness
This is the very reason I have issues with the LaunchPad. All the "Note" buttons are 'dual stage' and act like double mouse clicks. If you press and release fast enough, you can sometimes get away with it working, but that is not a very practical or reliable way to operate, so if there is a way to 'counter' this double click nature of the "note" buttons, I am all for it. I'm not sure if other midi devices behave the same but you definitely have to be very careful when allocating shortcuts with the LaunchPad, "Control" buttons work well, there just are not a lot of them.

As much as I tried, It was only down press, overlay in, release, overlay out. Didn't matter how, fast or slow either. It seems to work when I make it a 2 button configuration, but I was looking to do it in one.
Another option I haven't tried is to use Bomes MIDI translator as a go between.
