I am trying to get VMIX to multicast stream over the LAN. The WMV method is not acceptable because it is http.

There seem to be several streaming servers around and I starting off trying to use EVOStream.

I'm happy to change if someone has a better solution that works.

I need to set up a stream output on vmix that EVOStream can injest.

In their documentation they have a sample stream available on the net and one gets it using this:-
rtmp://s2pchzxmtymn2k.cloudfront.net/cfx/st/mp4:sintel.mp4

I was hoping that I could create a rtmp stream with vmix.
I entered some info into the Stream" setup but it bombs out with an error about FFMPEG
See below

Help appreciated

It looks like you forgot the /live in the url. We use wowza and that can trip some people up.
