I have a UV map that I have been trying to use for a virtual set, but every time I add it anywhere the video comes out distorted. Any ideas how to fix? https://www.dropbox.com/s/et8t7r2l4y84qqq/UVW_i2%20copy%20copy.psd?dl=0

Can you post a screen grab of what is happening?

@ djevo1

It's weird, your UV Gradient Map opens differently in PS and AI, in PS it is kind of zoomed in (distorted) towards yellow, but it looks fine in AI (mind you AI had to flatten the greater than 8 bit depth image).
Where did you get this map from?
(I am not clear on how these maps are created or why yours opens differently in these programs but it's likely the root of your problem, someone had posted one somewhere before to help compensate for the distortion from a GoPro camera so I know it's possible to modify how they map out an image, I'm just not sure how it's done).

FYI. I posted in regards to GOPro filter. basically just filtered (lens corrected) a UVmp as I would with a regular image / framegrab )

@ Djevo1, it realy looks distorted ,like experimented with perspective or similar

attached is a (should be) good one

This is probably the best explanation of UV gradient maps and how they work that I could find:

I generated it off a rectangle in cinema 4d. I exported it via multipass.
