The Decklink Quad 2 has only SDI outputs so you will definitely need the SDI/analog converter.
make sure vMix is set to output to the Decklink Renderer and not simply the Decklink Quad 2.
Also verify that you are connected to the correct connector on the card. The connector configuration is not obvious and is not well documented.
I had to call Blackmagic support to figure it out on our system. It will help if you have an SDI monitor to check is the signal is there, otherwise it can get quite frustrating as there are lots of variables.
