In what codec was it recorded? If you're more specific, someone might know an answer to your problem.

I confirm the problem, using the output of DeckLink SDI and sent to the stage during an event sometimes off the sound, for a few milliseconds.

the codec doesn't matter, it happens in different formats, for example:Audio: 48 000 Hz; 16 Bit; Stereo; PCM
Video: 25 fps; 720x576 lower field Starting with; or DV PAL Audio: 192 Kbps; 48 000 Hz; 16 Bit; Stereo; AAC
Video: 29,970 fps; 1920x1080 Progressive; YUV; 12 Mbps

Hi,

Can you confirm you have the latest version of vMix and the Blackmagic drivers are up to date?
If so, there are two different ways to output to the Blackmagic device in vMix either by selecting "Decklink Video Render"
or by selecting the device name in the list, have you tried both of these options?

If that doesn't help, please provide the system specs of the machine such as Windows version, Graphics Card, CPU etc.

Thanks,

Martin

Hi,

I am currently running some output tests on the Decklink Quad using driver 10.5
and so far the audio appears to be ok.

One thing to point out the external renderer isnt labelled Decklink Quad in vMix, so if you could confirm the exact
naming I can confirm if it is correct.

Also, any more information you can provide on the audio dropouts, what they sound like etc would be helpful.
I am playing video clips with music on a constant loop, but if there is a particular type of audio that will show the issue
more clearly let me know.

Regards,

Martin

Audio that has the problem comes from a mixer Presonus FireStudio Project with ASIO drivers. If I can, I am sending you a link to a piece of video.
Thank you.

@ macgiver76

Honestly, I think you'd have to be an 'audiophile' to pick that up and be concerned about it (I didn't even notice it the first time through, although, I have to admit, I didn't know what I was listening for).
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for "improving" things, but unless you can provide a better (or worse in this case) example, I think it's a problem I could 'live' with in the grand scheme of things.

Just my thoughts.

macgiver76,

So the problem is not the external output through Blackmagic but instead at the audio source via ASIO?
If so, the ASIO device may have some settings utility to increase the buffer size to reduce dropouts.
