Hello

Is it possible to play video clips on say one soundcard and a different clip on a different
audio card?

Take a look at "Settings-->Audio Outputs" and "Audio-->Mixer".

Here is the issue I'm facing...

My external mixer's output (which includes my microphones and other feeds) is fed into VMix via an audio interface

My video clips are played natively in VMix

Our Output is SDI to an ATEM switcher

I would like the video clips in VMix to pass through my external mixer (so I can control volume as my sound guys do
not want to have to mess with the video switcher's control over the computer) and be able to pass through my External
Output (SDI)

Setting up an aux output as a mix minus and reading the vMix documentation will do the job.

And in addition to what ovinas says, you need to use analog (not USB) audio interfacing, otherwise you will face delay induced by USB drivers.

(google "mix minus" if you don't know what that is)
