Subject: [SHOWCASE] Meet AK GO – The Advanced Software Controller that turns vMix into a High-End Vision Mixer Hi everyone, I’d like to introduce you to AK GO, a specialized software controller I’ve been developing to bridge the gap between vMix and high-end broadcast hardware. Whether you are running a TV station, a professional podcast, or a high-production YouTube channel, AK GO is designed to handle the "heavy lifting" so you can focus on the creative side of live production. What is AK GO?It is more than just a remote; it’s a comprehensive automation and management layer for vMix. It’s designed to simplify complex tasks—like SuperSource transitions, virtual camera movements, and multi-channel playout—into single-click actions. Key Features at a Glance: []Intuitive Template & Preset System: Ships with a customizable template. Swap sources or images via a right-click menu and save your entire configuration as a preset instantly. []Dynamic Virtual Camera Control: Features a precision timer slider to control the duration of virtual camera moves. Perfect for "push-ins" on anchors while simultaneously managing side-graphic overlays. []Integrated Playout Management: Direct control over local and external vMix playout systems. You no longer need a dedicated playout operator; the interface brings everything under one roof. []One-Click Automation: Execute complex sequences (e.g., Intro Graphic -> Moving Wide Shot -> Transition to Anchor) with a single button press. []Advanced SuperSource Layers: Includes 32 templates (expanding to 64 soon). Features dynamic resizing, repositioning for tickers, and three transition styles: Cut, Cube, and Slide. []Automated SuperSource CG: A dedicated Character Generator automatically triggers when templates change, with a separate interface for independent text control. []Bi-Directional vMix Sync: Real-time feedback on overlays and recording status directly on the AK GO interface. []6-Channel NDI Aux Outputs: Switch up to six NDI inputs (selectable three at a time) directly from the controller.
- Full Audio Integration: A dedicated audio panel synced with vMix, with simplified controls for "one-man-band" operations.
See it in Action:I have prepared a demo video showing the workflow and the speed of the interface here: https://alikassem.net/akgo/I want your feedback! This project has been a labor of love to make live production more accessible and professional. I am currently at a crossroads and would love to hear from the vMix community. Would a tool like AK GO be a valuable addition to your workflow? I am considering two paths forward: either releasing this as a professional paid software or launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund continuous additions, more SuperSource templates, and deeper tool expansions. Please let me know your thoughts, feature requests, or if you’d be interested in supporting a Kickstarter to help bring this to the next level. Your feedback will literally shape the future of this project! Looking forward to hearing what you think. Best regards, ALI KASSEM AKGO UI 3.jpg (437kb) downloaded 13 time(s).
