Massive fan of vMix Replay. I just thought I’d put my two cents in for what is my favourite replay controller for vMix that I’ve used thus far.

I’ve used a Skaarhoj Time Spin / XC8 and found it to be very clunky for what it is, and the price is outrageous.
I’ve used an older Tricaster TimeWarp controller, again not really ideal.
And I’ve used the more recent NewTek 3Play controller (this is my second favourite controller).

My favourite so far is the Logitech MX Creative Console, which is also only $350 Australian dollars or about $200 USD.

This thing almost seems purpose-built for replays and packs a punch for something on the cheaper side.



On the MX Creative Dialpad I have it set up as follows:

I use the jog wheel for scrubbing through the channels. Although Logitech updated how their console sends commands and broke my original (better) jogging setup, so I now have a slightly more clunky jog wheel.

The top two buttons to the right of the jog wheel are my Mark In and Mark Out.

The top-right zoom scroller I use to control playback speed.

The bottom-left button is my play from event start button.

The bottom-right button is mostly unused, but I usually set it as a pause button.

On the MX Creative Keypad, I use it to essentially hot-swap my replay angles during playback.

If anyone is interested i can go into more detail, i can not recommend this hardware enough for what it is!
