Unable to record 14 channels into .mp4 after updating

My setup runs outputs A-F as individual microphones, and G as combined processed audio. I've been recording all 14 channels into an .mp4 file, though I relied on the separate .wav file for audio.
After updating to 29.0.0.41, the same configuration throws up the following error: This format does not support more than 6 Audio Channels.
This is, of course, fixed if I switch the Audio from ABCDEFG to Master, or MAB, but then I lose the individual microphone audio. Switching to .avi is not viable for me due to file size. The configuration has not changed except for the update, the preset is the same as it's ever been.
So how did this happen? Is there a way I can record all my tracks in .wav while still keeping the .mp4 video format? Or do I need to revert to a previous version of vMix?
Googling did not provide much of anything, any insight is much welcome, thanks!

@ Tomiz
.MP4 has always only supported a maximum of 6 Audio Channels. In previous versions of vMix, the error message was only generated on regular recordings but not on MultiCorder recordings, not because more than 6 channels was supported, but likely an just oversight which was fixed in vMix 29. (if you previously tried to record more than 6 channels with the MultiCorder, no audio was recorded at all, which of course is very problematic when no error or warning was issued)

Ice I am not interested in .mp4 supporting more than 6 audio channels, I want the old functionality come back. I appreciate that vmix now warns you about the format's limitations, but it no longer allows me to record .mp4 video with .wav audio. Basically an error has removed a function of vMix I relied on. Is there a way for me to record lossy video (20mbps ish) with all audio channels now? Is appears to be gone, because the error stops me instead of just recording as before.
