The PTZ positioning button cluster (up, down, left, right + 4 diagonals also has a center button.

Touching this button (VERY easy to do accidentally) completely zooms out the camera (at least it does this with my AViPAS camera) and "centers" it. Quite jarring in the middle of a broadcast.

A setting that completely disables this center button button would be welcome.

It might be as "simple" as adding a second PTZ layout where this button is not included.

Thank for listening!

Any button be it a onscreen one or hardware controller can be pushed accidentally!

Create your own "simple" controller using the vMix Shortcut functions, could be done using a web interface, a streamdeck etc
In the case of a hardware controller rip out the center button

@doggy - agreed, but it's just too easy to push that particular button, which is in the middle of a closely-spaced cluster of buttons. A checkbox to disable this in the PTZ window, for example: at the bottom of that window above "Always show thumbnail in input preview," would work, and would be hard enough to deselect unintentionally. It could be labeled "Disable center PTZ position button."

Indeed, checking that box would ideally make that center button disappear entirely in the UI.

What i dont understand why even use that cluster during a broadcast in the first place , especially as it seem critical in your operation and use

The beauty of vMix is the fact that one is not stuck to being controlled by what vMix has provided but can easily be customized by the use of the functions through controllers, scripts and even custom external applications

IMO get a streamdeck (no need even for companion), define your keys ,add some nice icons, and position them to your liking. due to tactile operation you wont even have to look where you are pressing
