Hi! We´re looking into replacing an SDI based mixing system with vMix to get a more integrated setup, mostly when it comes to CG graphics and replay funktions. We want fewer boxes in the rack and fewer subsystems. We already have a robust setup with SDI signals coming in from cameras, recievers etc. Today we have 5 SDI signals that has to be handled in the new setup.
If and when doing the transfer to vMix, would you recommend sticking with the SDI setup (which means getting an SDI capture card like a DeckLink Quad and probably more wiring) or switching to NDI from the cameras and systems in our setup that supports NDI?
We prioritize stability and robustness in our system. So what is generally a more safe way with vmix, SDI or NDI?
Thanks in advance for input regarding this!
