To set the stage I have followed the setup here. https://www.vmix.com/kno...2/using-srt-urls-in-vmixParaphrased SRT URLs commonly look like the following: srt://1.2.3.4:10000/?mode=caller&passphrase=thepassword These should be separated out to fill in the fields in vMix: Hostname: Just the IP address or hostname, for example 1.2.3.4 as per the example above. Do not include srt:// the port or any other values. Port: This is the number after the hostname. In the above example 10000 Type: Caller in the example above, also called "mode" Passphrase: thepassword as per the example above I am trying to get a SRT stream to work in Vmix - string below srt://live.cloudflare.com:778?passphrase=bb9ce8d40eee58867827c3554f584ed2kf366fc71fb65806db058177696b634f1&streamid=playf366fc71fb65806db058177696b634f1 This works fine if I open Network URL in VLC and paste it as is, but does not work in Vmix I have tried using caller and rendezvous with each field in its separate spot. So that is as per instructions to leave out the srt:// in the string so assuming it is the same for the rest eg passphrase and streamid so that leaves srt live.cloudflare.com port 778 passphrase bb9ce8d40eee58867827c3554f584ed2kf366fc71fb65806db058177696b634f1& streamid playf366fc71fb65806db058177696b634f1 I have tried it with passphrase and stream id both in the field and not in the field All I get is black screen in vmix Anyone have a clue as to what I must be doing wrong? Thanks

Thanks for that video. I am aware of this and had already tested this using this actual video. Though it will be good for anyone reading this post. who is learning SRT
I am already able to do a SRT stream to myself locally no problem. as per video. I am also able to do from one computer to another on same network. Just not the stream documented above that does work fine on VLC as a single string
srt://live.cloudflare.com:778?passphrase=bb9ce8d40eee58867827c3554f584ed2kf366fc71fb65806db058177696b634f1&streamid=playf366fc71fb65806db058177696b634f1
So are there any other settings not documented that I might have missed. EG do you include the word "passphrase" in the actual field for input for passphrase or leave it out? Same for Stream ID ? EG does Vmix transmit the entire string with passphrase on the front? Clearly Vmix adds SRT:// to the front of the URL for hostname internally. and transmits this as it will not even allow you to add SRT;?? to the front of the hostname.
So what I am asking is why is this string not working due to some oversight by me?

It looks like you have accidentally included the & symbol in the passphrase you have copied.
Note that vMix is not converting all the fields back into srt:// etc, it is actually the opposite. SRT requires all these fields set separately internally, some apps just use the srt:// URL format for convenience.
