I have no problems with having six PTZ cameras going in vMix via IP using a PTZoptics G4 joystick controller for live streaming.
However, I am looking for a way to record those same six cameras individually, in sync, and with intact video feed, not just segments
of each as you get when switching between cameras while streaming/recording.

Do I need to look for a specialized DVR or software, or is it possible with vMix? I am hopking for specific hardware / software
suggestions and possible tutorials on the subject.

I saw suggestions of trying to run multiple copies of the same program but that does't sound like a good options.

Apparently I am not wording the question correctly for google to be of assistance. I keep being pointed to streaming optioins where
the camera feeds are being merged which is not what I am looking for. Vmix already has that covered.

Thanks, John

Do you mean the Multicorder?
https://www.vmix.com/hel...dex.htm?MultiCorder.html

The multicorder will simultaneously record the inputs you select at the same time as soon as you hit the button.

We use it all the time - normally with Davinci resolve's multi-cam editing workflow.

Use multicorder in vMix, but record on different drive for best results...SSD if you have....use it for quite some time now for Horse racing, 8 cameras, 1 is a drone, and no issues...all day long.....

I see vMix multicorder is only on the subscription based versions. I am running the HD version and was trying to stay away from a subscription
based solution.

vMix 4K and pro are NOT subscription based !
Max which is same as Pro is but more on a "when one needs it" basis (While subscribed ! )

Check the Comparison table again : https://www.vmix.com/purchase/#comparisontable
