Is it possible to use the API or scripting or something to control vMix Call?

Would be nice to be able for our journalists to add a vMix Call input and retrieve the URL and password, as well as delete the input afterwards. That way they can fix everything themselves during production, when they need to have a guest on.

May you can create an input with 8 calls in different layers and a holding slide in 9th layer. Then connect one of the calls and move it to layer 10 (on top of all). Once done move back to original layer.
