Sending Mix inputs ("Submixers") as NDI outputs

It would be very helpful if vMix could present the Mix inputs (or submixes, as I think of them) as NDI sources on our network - along with cameras /calls / audio inputs.

You already have two options. Tick the checkbox to add NDI per input or use the dropdown in the output settings and set it to an input and use the 4 outputs with that.

Thanks, but if Quote:Tick the checkbox to add NDI per input is refering to the Cameras / Calls / Audio Inputs CheckBox under Additional NDI Outputs, this does not give you the Mix inputs. As for the External Outputs; yes, that works - but we are limited to only four, and I have better use for these in other areas :)

First of all, once again, people need to search the forums before making/+1'ing feature request. There's no point in having a million different threads all asking for the same thing with different levels of support. Second, and more importantly, Martin explicitly said this isn't happening. This is why there are only 4 outputs in vMix, and even then they require a very fast GPU to avoid high render times when all in use.
If GPUs ever do optimise downloads a lot better, then rather than a Mix input to NDI, we would likely add the option to add as many outputs as you need and link them to any inputs you like. Much like how you can "Add Input" today.
Hope this helps.

Martin vMix Interesting. So if in the future Nvdia with 70x gpu cards and pci express 6.0 be more fast than now,may we have this feature. And it will be hidden in older GPU? Interesting.. I would like to see this in future how will work!

I would like to see this in future how will work! Hi, thanks for this quotation. However, it is two years old. Now newer PC systems have Resizable Bar support, which apparently makes the CPU->GPU transfer more efficient. For games this direction is the main one - from CPU to GPU to display. But Machine Learning / AI puts workloads on the GPU and also needs to retrieve it from there. So maybe we will see better GPU->CPU bandwidth in the future which could give vMix more Output busses. Maybe Martin can update his comment for us. Thanks, Christian

I don't see what there is to update. I think he was pretty clear: Originally Posted by: admin If GPUs ever do optimise downloads a lot better, then rather than a Mix input to NDI, we would likely add the option to add as many outputs as you need and link them to any inputs you like. When the time comes, I'd imagine it'd work similarly to trying to start an HEVC/AV1 stream today. You can physically click the button with any GPU, but if it's not supported, you'd get an error message that it can't do it. Or maybe it'll be like when they opened up the 4 physical outputs & they'll say "We don't really recommend doing it, but, if you want to, whatever happens is gonna happen. Do it at your own risk." I highly doubt they'll just outright hide the option based on GPU model. But when the time comes, we'll see.
