Hello,

I need to start recording in some cases from web page.
Is there any way to send some API command for this - file record name must be set as url parameter.

Regards,
Ivan videv

I don't believe you can specify a filename through the API, but you can start/stop recording through it. The link to start a recording would be:
http://[Insert your vMix web interface link here]/API/?Function=StartRecording

You can use the "StopRecording" function to stop the recording. It uses the recording format and naming conventions you have configured in vMix. Having a file that contains the start time of the recording in hh:mm:ss for instance would eliminate the chance of accidentally replacing an already recorded file.
