UPDATE: After doing some research it looks like the Beldon 1505 RG59 is the go but here is my post anyway.

Doing a live switch in 2 days so hoping for some feedback ASAP.

I plan on running SDI 1080 over Beldon RG6 QUAD coax.

Commonly my runs will be up to 30M but some will be maybe 60M.

I have about 300m of the RG6 left over from a job I did 10 years ago and its in 50 and 100m lengths at present. Its terribly bulky and hard to coil so the option is there to ditch it buy RG59. A tech friend tells me the "strandard Dual Shield" type is the go.

Here are my questions;

1. Is RG59 fine for smallers runs say up to 30m?
2. Would joining 2X RG59's meana a possible loss in quality?
3. Is joining a RG59 to a RG6 cable an issue?

Based on this video I should be bypassing the quad cable and going for a dedicated SDI cable that has 95% Tin Cooper braid.

Thanks in advance,

Regards
