I am trying to update vMix to the latest version of vMix 4K (29.0.0.32). I get a failure of
c:\Program Files(x86)\vMix\vMix64.exe
An error occured while trying to replace the existing file: DeleteFile failed; Code 5 Access is denied;
I aborted the update.
The help says to make sure all programs using a camera are closed. I did this using Task manager. This did not change the error message. Can you provide a better diagnostic or an alternate method of updating.
We have updated multiple times without this error

Got the number wrong - I was quoting from memory. It is the latest version of 4K which I think is 24.0.0.32
Any insights on this type of failure

Yes - the copy is legal and we have the license number. The downloader is doing the work. We start the update and it downloads and then asks us if we want to install. I hit the yes button. The system returns the error shown in the initial post. It asks if other video applications are open. They are not. I checked the task manager. So to me this is a problem with the installer

Many thanks - question - can you give me the steps you followed on the reinstall. Was it a download of the current version from the website?
