In our typical workflow, we record in camera, record each live source in vMix Multicorder, and record our Program Output.

I've noticed that the colour in the Multicorder file has different colour than the Program Output file, even on a straight 1:1 of the source. In this very simple example you can see that ISO record is more magenta than the Program Output. These differences are accentuated in less controllable circumstances.

Any ideas why this would be happening? It adds a very unnecessary step in our post-production workflow when cleaning up a live-edit.

Multicorder:
Multicorder.png (2,071kb) downloaded 8 time(s).

Program Output:
Backstage Program Rec.png (2,175kb) downloaded 4 time(s).

Computer Specs:
Windows 10 Pro
Asus ROG Maximus Z690 Hero
Intel i9-12900K

MSI Ventus 3x Plus RTX 3080

@ AlToms

The vMix MultiCorder records the raw camera source.
The vMix Recorder records the processed video through vMix, so even though you may not have adjusted anything, that processing in and of itself may be "auto tweaking" things to some degree.

That's what I suspected, thanks very much for confirming I'm not losing my mind.

Is there any way of either:
1) Removing the "auto tweaking"
or
2) Adjusting the multicorder to match the processing happening to the Program Rec?

My work is usually focused on live-editing events and turning around a final, corrections-included and repackaged, video(s) within a week or less. Adjusting for these differences seems to be a bit of an extra bother for not apparent benefit.

Hello. Did you find any solution for this? I noticed that this happens only in specific cameras. I have a sony ax53 connected to a bmd mini recorder and a panasonic vc-180 connected in another bmd mini recorder. The sony camera doesnt have this magenta colour in multicorder record and it is exactly same like the pgm output. But the panasonic camera does have this more magenta colour only in multicorder

I have not yet unfortunately. Interesting to hear about only affecting specific cameras though....means there's hope that there's a setting somewhere I can alter. I wonder if the HDMI out image profile can be tweaked to compensate.
