I am glad you like the program, and want to support it, but perhaps you could be a bit more positive, and dare I say polite, in your comments.
Good call on getting the version from the Window's title bar. I simply got it from the large, easy to read, splash screen when I had to restart VMix to find the version number (since the release notes did not indicate any change).
But you do bring up an interesting point. Screen reader's used by the disabled will read the title bar of a window as it gets focus, and having the version number read each time that happens does make things more difficult than necessary for those requiring a screen reader to assist them in running the application.
I know it is hard to believe, but VMix has been even used by the bind!
Know that I'm not saying the whole program needs to be re-written for a few blind folks.
All I am asking for is a little sensibility in file naming, a short entry in the release notes, a version or change note for the desktop capture apps... something... any one of these simple additions would benefit everyone, including VMix.
Any one of these options so very easy, and takes so little time, yet getting the fix has proven impossible. That just makes no sense.
And I apologize for my lack of polite. My posts have been met with brick walls, resistance, more effort has been put into offers to refund my money than spending a few minutes to correct some issues (I am a seasoned programmer, and know exactly just what some of the issues actually required to fix).
In short, yes, I am a bit angry about about getting "lame excuse" as opposed to simple "thank you for taking the time" replies from VMix. My posts stated out here plenty polite, and are simply reactive to what was received back. Costs money to post ya know.
Personally, I think Martin and I got off on the wrong foot, and who knows why... could have been low blood sugar for either of us for all I know.
I am all for forgiveness, turning new leaves, olive branches and the like. I think for this end, all it would take is a short note to start that process.
I am a well known, long time coder in the multimedia industry, sharp as a tack, and have a lot to offer. It is a shame to waste my efforts on negativity, no doubt about it.
Thanks for that reminder.
