I agree. I often run text as a ticker showing the current standings after every athlete takes their turn. Over the course of the event, the length of the text grows (and speeds up visually) and I have to go in and manually adjust the time to slow things down again. Changing from a time setting to a speed setting would be fantastic!

I had the same problem , so I edited the tile to break out the duration setting so I can set it uesing the API , then the php that feeds in the text does a character count and works out the duration to keep the speed the same
