I am working on a project that contains media of different aspect ratios. Importing a 1080 x 1080 .avi file into a 1920x1080 60fps projects appears stretched. i've tried toggling between Normal and Source in the input's general settings, but it remains the same.

has anyone figured out a solution?

Under input settings, Position set Zoom X to 0.5625

You can calculate this value. Just divide video width by 1920. In your case 1080/1920=0.5625
