Is it a good idea to use this device to show a broadcast to a commentator and camera operators? At the same time, it would act as a tally( Four smartphones/tablets can be used as video receivers from up to 492' away (line of sight))for the camera operator. It also has audio included. Any thoughts?

Your biggest challenge would be latency. At 60ms it would be unusable / a distraction for camera operators.

The commentators could make use of it as long as it's not an issue for them to have a bit of latency (such as being in a separate room where they can't even see the event.)
The only real benefit of this is that all the transmission is done in a single box. This would really not be that different from using a vMix SRT output, a wireless access point, and then having phones/tablets watching that stream (with the benefit of not being limited to only 4 devices).
