Hi all!
I hope this isn't a silly question!

I have a Blackmagic Decklink Duo 2 which I use to connect 2 SDI cameras (Sony PXW-X70).
I understand this capture card has 4 inputs and 1 is a reference in.
I use channels 1 and 2 (I think) for video capture.
I want to use the other 2 channels as well (2 more cameras) however I am struggling to understand how the inputs work.

I was watching this -

The guy talks about the 4 channels however he explains something about the connectors that are paired. Any ideas what this means please?

I dont have 4 cameras atm but looking to add these but before I do, I want to make sure my capture card can accept 4 inputs.

I ust vMix software to stream.

Also any recommendations on using a HDMI capture card as well as this SDI to add more inputs such as an SLR camera with no SDI.

open BMD Desktop Video Setup
there goto "Connector Mapping" for all 4 Inputs

4:26 in the YT Video

you have to seperate all 4 SDIs

I prefer a HDMI to SDI Converter, so you can use longer cables

Hello. When you say "vmix overwrites the videostandard" means that if we have for example in vmix a 576p preset and in blackmagic desktop setup we have 1080p, when we use external from vmix it will be 576p?

AFAIK this depends on the firmware of the BMD Device
