I would find an entry in the API very useful if an input
above all a camera capture is actually present.

e.g. If you have two live inputs Main/BackUp it then
would be possible to set up a small script, like:
If Main Input fails (damaged connection, damaged output at X-Point, whatever...)
send BackUp input to stream or recording or...

Wouldn´t it be possible to detect an input sync
and state present/not present?
