Hi there!
We currently own a PC with Decklink 8K and vMix installed. Great combo. We also have a laptop. And both systems have thunderbolt ports. We are thinking about buying an external thunderbolt enclosure with another Decklink 8K card installed to either expand the first system (to have 8 inputs/outputs available) or to have a very small, portable, yet powerful system with 4 SDI inputs.
I know it's possible to have an external enclosure with one or two Decklink 4K recorder cards installed and running, but I would prefer to see 4 inputs in one slot available. Would that work or would the bandwidth be too much for the Thunderbolt interface (and vMix) to handle? As far as I've read it should work on the paper as long as we get the right enclosure. Has anyone tried this?
Thanks!

Thanks! I will try the OWC Mercury Helios 3S Thunderbolt 3 with the 8k Pro. Once I test it I will let you know if it rocks.
