We have a Mevo Start (NDI-HX) camera with the latest firmware. It is wired to our 1G network. Camera is running at 720p. vMix is at the latest version and is configured for 720p29.97 and is running with plenty CPU to spare. The feed looks good, but every now and then (let's say 15 minutes give or take) the action on the screen "jerks". The vMix stats show very few dropped frames coming from the camera. After our broadcast, I used a video editor to examine the jerks frame by frame. The problem is not dropped frames. Instead, it's 3 or 4 frames from approximately 1.5 seconds earlier being reinserted into the output. For lack of a better word, we are calling them "phantom" frames. With a single, stationary person in the scene who is simply speaking with little to no gesturing, the problem appears as a barely noticeable jerk. But, we had an incident where someone walked out of the scene only to appear again 1.5 seconds later for 3 frames. Clearly, a buffer is being mismanaged, but by who? Anybody run into this with NDI-HX or vMix? I will also post to the user group for the Mevo Start camera.
