Hi,
I'm trying to configure vMix Call with "Allow only direct peer to peer connections".
I've already read these pages:
https://www.vmix.com/kno...l-direct-connection-mode
and
https://www.vmix.com/kno...on-issues-with-vmix-call

I have Mikrotik firewall on which I added rules:

Quote:
/ip firewall filter print
chain=input action=accept protocol=udp in-interface=ether1 dst-port=49152-65535 log=no log-prefix=""

Unfortunetely caller cant connect to vMix.

In vMix Call Manager I see:
Quote:
XXXXXXX 02:50:26 PM
Ready to accept caller at https://www.vmixcall.com/ with Password XXXXXXX

XXXXXXX 02:50:26 PM
Callers can also use the following link: https://vmix.at/yyyyyyyyyyy

Pawel 02:50:45 PM
logged in

Pawel 02:50:46 PM
Caller has made initial contact!

Pawel 02:50:46 PM
Sending our reply to initiate the call...

When I untick "Allow only direct peer to peer connections" I can connect without any problems,
but I suppose that with p2p connection I will achieve lower latency and better image quality.

Should I add any DNAT rule?
Any other filter rules?

Thanks in advance.

if the caller can´t connect while "allow only p2p..." is selected
that is an issue of the network/firewall configuration of the calling side.

In a couple (if not a lot or most) of company networks and company administrated
computers it is not possible to connect p2p.

And then if you only allow p2p, no connection will set up.

If a connection via p2p is possible you will avoid connecting
via an external server, which can sometimes be very busy with in/out traffic.
Due to this the video quality esspecially resolution can be lowered with expanding traffic on the server.

I am not a network administrator or firewall expert so consider this as the most basic and simple explanation!
