Hi there! I am VERY new to Vmix. I have a Canon Vixia HF R800 camcorder, connected to my Surface laptop via a Digitnow HD capture card. When I go to select my input in Vmix, there is an option for the capture card, but when I select it, it doesn't show the video feed. It's just a black screen. Digitnow is not listed as one of the Vmix supported hardware devices, but it seems from other places in this forum that users have been successful using digitnow. Any advice? Thanks!

I don't have that camera or that capture device, but after doing a little bit of searching, I see that the camcorder is capable of 1080p60 (1920x1080 60 FPS progressive scan), but that capture device only supports 1080i60 or 1080p30. So make sure your camcorder isn't set to 60 FPS mode. Go to the recording setup in the camcorder, and set the resolution and frame rate to 1920x1080 30p and see if that helps.

Thank you so much for the suggestion. Unfortunately, my camera is set at 30p, so that is not the problem.

Hmm, that was my only idea.

If no one else comes up with a solution, it might be worth looking at getting a known good, highly regarded, widely used capture device, such as the Elgato Camlink.
