Hi !
Here would be the feature : When choosing for video source, I can select only Outputs, but I'd like to send an input from every inputs I have (great when using another machine for broadcasting) Same with audio, I can select Buses only, I'd like to be able to send another input. (great when creating a n-1 from a mixing table)
Here is a showcase I had : I've been working with 4 Vmix call inputs lately. I had to send the calls to an ATEM. I needed to send to the Vmix calls a program input (from ATEM) AND an program-1 audio (from an external mixing table). (My machine was used to send lower thirds AND video as well) The way I used my outputs: Out 1 : Key/Fill AND videos -> SDI Out 2 : Call 1 -> SDI Out 3 : Call 2 -> NDI -> NDI2SDI Out 4 : Program (from ATEM) -> VMIX Call Sources Fullscreen 1 : Call 3 -> HDMI2SDI Fullscreen 2 : Call 4 -> HDMI2SDI
Audio : Call 1 -> Bus A Call 2 -> Bus B Call 3 -> Bus C Call 4 -> Bus D Sending to Mixing table via Dante protocol Input -> Program minus EVERY call 4 calls Audio source : headphones (So they can hear every other inputs (Calls + pgm-1)
You can see how unefficient it gets (I can't play a video AND have calls at the same time, it would loop into my mixing table (pgm-1 has the video sound)) Adding the opportunity to choose from a custom input would make it easier : I'd use only 1 FScreen (great) I'd do 4 pgm-1 audio, routing each one to each call audio sources. Concerning video I'd just have to route the video pgm from the ATEM.
Would you think it'd be useful ? Thanks a lot !
David
