Ok - here's hyper-specific issue I've ran into...

I'm trying desktop capture two explicit programs (instead of a single Screen Capture input), Photoshop and Lightroom, so I can program the transition between the two with Companion (along with other actions)
The issue I'm running into is with Lightroom:

a) I need to run Desktop Capture in WindowsGraphicsCapture because vMix won't see any images or panels in the software.

b) Once I select WindowsGraphicsCapture, the input for Lightroom only freezes up and doesn't update. (If I select default it's responds like normal, but doesn't show and images)

c)Photoshop works fine with WindowsGraphicsCapture, and both work fine as a Generic Desktop Capture (with WindowsGraphicsCapture selected)

Anyone run into this with local capture before?

ALSO - the main reason I'm running two inputs is I can't figure how to program a shortcut or a companion action to select a specific source for a single Desktop Capture. For example, you can right click that Desktop Capture input and change between capture sources like screens, or software. Is there a way to program that selection?

It seems like you're encountering some issues with desktop capture and software selection for specific programs. Let's break down your questions and address them one by one:
Issue with Lightroom and vMix:
a) To capture Lightroom properly in vMix, you mentioned that you need to run Desktop Capture in WindowsGraphicsCapture mode. This mode allows for better capture of certain applications that might not be fully compatible with other capture methods.
b) However, when you select WindowsGraphicsCapture mode, the input for Lightroom freezes and doesn't update.
c) On the other hand, Lightroom works fine with the default capture mode, but the images don't show up in vMix.
It seems like there might be compatibility issues between Lightroom and vMix when using the WindowsGraphicsCapture mode. One possible solution you can try is to update your vMix software to the latest version, as updates often include bug fixes and improved compatibility.
While this specific issue pertains to desktop capture, it highlights the importance of selecting the right software for specific tasks, especially in the beauty industry where digital transformation is increasingly prevalent. So, take the time to explore the options available and find the app that's right for you.
